Meet Our Team

Simon Dealy

Chief Executive Officer

As a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in multiple industries, Simon’s portfolio includes operations, finance, strategic planning, M&A, business development and company start-ups, having successfully implemented business strategies, improved processes, and raised capital. One of Simon’s many achievements includes effectively building and then selling his company, Control Solutions, a global internal audit provider delivering services in 35 countries.

Eric Loree

Chief Legal Officer

Eric previously worked at the TSX Venture Exchange where he supervised the team responsible for the review of new listings and ongoing issuer transactions in the Toronto office. He was also a member of the TSX Venture Exchange’s Executive Listing and Policy Committee. Prior to joining the TSX-V, Eric worked as legal counsel to a major telecommunications company and practiced in the Corporate Finance and Securities Law department of a national law firm.

Dan Teguh

Chief Financial Officer

Dan was previously the Director of Corporate Development at a leading North American healthcare consolidator where he was responsible for acquisitions and transaction execution. Prior to this, he held progressively senior roles at a publicly traded insurance holding company covering all aspects of capital management including mergers and acquisitions, planning, operations, financial reporting, and investor relations. Dan also worked in the Banking & Capital Markets group at an international accounting firm.

Sean Cleary

Director

Sean is Chairman & CEO of BlackRock Metals. Previously he was co-founder and Executive Chairman of People Corporation (TSX-V:PEO) a consolidator in the Employee benefits, pension administration and HR consulting industry. Prior to People Corporation he was a Senior Vice-President with Quest Capital (now part of Sprott Inc.). He holds a masters degree in business administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western University in Canada.

Jonson Sun

Director

Jonson is the Founder of numerous companies including a merchant bank with diversified holding companies in Canada, China, South Africa, and Dubai, a financial holding company that oversees over $3B in clients’ assets, and a leading multi-family office platform in China, serving 30 top Chinese families.

Hamed Shahbazi

Director

Hamed is currently the CEO of WELL Health Technologies (TSX: WELL), a consolidator of clinical and digital healthcare assets. Prior to WELL Health, Hamed founded TIO Networks, a multi-channel payment solution provider, later acquired by PayPal for $304mm. Hamed also currently serves on the board of BroadbandTV and is a past winner of Business in Vancouver’s top 40 under 40 award and EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

Sunil Sharma

Advisor

Sunil is the Managing Director of Techstars Toronto, a worldwide investment network that connects entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, and entire ecosystems. Previously, Sunil co-founded Extreme Startups (now Highline) and has worked as a venture capitalist with Extreme Venture Partners. Sunil is also a co-host of the massive Collision Conference, which takes place annually in Toronto, bringing more than 30,000 entrepreneurs together online and in-person, and the Director of the Founder Institute’s pre-accelerator programs in Toronto and Waterloo.
